PBS is playing a lot of old recordings by Tennessee Ernie Ford, as part of a fund-raising program. It's good to be reminded of everything we loved about Tennessee Ernie. His singing voice was one of the most pleasing I've ever heard. However, the sound on these recordings seems deeply flawed.

I think PBS must own his entire media catalog. He always seems to appear at fund raising time!

I remember listening to his records when I was very young. My mother and I think my grandmother had 2 or 3 of his records. There was something about his voice that I loved. I have always liked bass voices.
Hope you are having a pleasant weekend. I think we might be getting Spring soon! It will be in the 50's this week and I'm sure we will have light flooding from the melting snow! It just goes with the territory :)
Hugs,
