Yesterday and today I read Left Behind by LaHaye and Jenkins, and thought it was a good story. It would be interesting to find out if, in other books in the series, the writing improves--It isn't bad in this book, just somewhat better than a high school book report or a small-town newspaper. It isn't weak enough to distract you from the story. I didn't like the repeated comparison of the bad guy's looks to Robert Redford.

I read that a long time ago. All I can remember is that it didn't make me want to read the rest of the series.
I just finished The Devil's Knot,a lengthy non-fiction about 3 teenagers, known as the West Memphis Three, accused of the brutal murder of 3 little boys in Arkansas. The murder was horrendous, and the police, judge, justice system made no efforts to find or prosecute the real murderer or murderers. One of the accused teenagers (all 3 are adults now in prison) was named Jessie Misskelley.
